Gospel Magic

Mike is a licensed Christian minister with a passion for reaching the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He has taken to heart the words of the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:22, and firmly believes in becoming "all things to all men, that by all means, some might be saved".

Mike has served, for many years, in various pastoral roles, in which he has ministered to all ages, in a variety of ways. He has also maintained a life-long hobby of performing the creative art of magic/illusions. He has combined his love of evangelism and his love of magic, to form a unique ministry, in which he presents the Gospel and other biblical truths by way of illusions. He uses sleight of hand, scientific principles, and optical illusions to produce a jaw-dropping performance, in which the Word of God is clearly presented. His use of illusions to present these biblical truths not only gets God's Word into the hearts and minds of people that would never sit and listen to a "sermon", but it also gives a visual aid that will help them to understand what they are hearing. The added benefit to Mike's shows is that they are VERY MEMORABLE! Those that see his presentations tend to remember what they have seen... and heard.

BUT WAIT!

Isn't "magic" forbidden in the Bible? Let's be clear on terminology. What is forbidden, by God, is supernatural acts of sorcery, communication with the dead, participation in witchcraft, and such. When speaking from a performing arts perspective, the word "magic" simply refers to sleight of hand and optical illusion. Mike DOES NOT participate in any "dark arts", and absolutely has no supernatural powers! He makes this clear in every single show, often stating "the things that I do can be done by any 7 year old... with about 20 years of practice".
